Usana belongs to Sobrarbe, which is one of the ten districts of the Province of Huesca. It embraces a great portion of the Central Spanish Pyrenees: The National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido (World Heritage), the canyons of Guara and a big area of the Protected Parks of Posets-Maladeta.
The views are stunning and the region is full of valleys, waterfalls, pine forests and green prairies. The altitude of the surrounding mountains, ranges from 3000 to 3600 m. Needless to mention the huge amount of floral species (like snowflowers, also known as edelweiss) and wild animals living there.
Besides, Sobrarbe has an impressive cultural patrimony. As an example, there are more than 200 chapels scattered over the area.
